Introduction:
The Haryana State Certificate in Information Technology Application (HS-CITA) is a well-structured program aimed at enhancing proficiency in Information Technology (IT). It spans six months and is conducted at authorized learning centers by the Haryana Knowledge Corporation Limited.
This course is highly regarded for its potential to boost the career paths of both government and private sector employees. Notably, HS-CIT(A) holds special significance in the government sector as it exempts candidates from the State Eligibility Test in Computer Appreciation and Application (SETC) Part I, making it a sought-after qualification for computer literacy and application.
Admission Mode
The learner is free to choose the admission mode:

Direct Mode Admission:
- In Direct mode admission Learner directly apply for HS-CIT A admission and pays the full course fees in single installment.
- Learner needs to choose the two modules at the time of admission i.e. HS-CIT and 1 Haryana Knowledge Corporation Limited(HKCL) Career Oriented Course Module.
- Course Fees is Rs 9000 for HS-CIT A Course.
Part Mode Admission:
- In Part mode admission Learner will apply and complete the two modules i.e. HS-CIT and 1 Haryana Knowledge Corporation Limited(HKCL) Career Oriented Course and then apply for HS-CIT A certification
- Course Fees is Rs 9000.

- The minimum educational qualification is 10th/12th std. passed learner desirable.
Medium
eLearning of this course is available in 2 languages:
- Module 1 is available in English and Hindi both languages.
- Module 2 is mainly available in English language and a few courses are also available in Hindi language.
Admit Card:
Admit card will be generated automatically after scheduling of on demand examination.

Examination:
For getting HS-CIT A final certification learner needs to clear two examinations.
• Module 1 Final Examination
• Module 2 Final Examination
Module-I Final examination:
• Eligibility criteria for Module-I Final examination
• Min 40 Session
• Min 20 Marks
• After three months of enrolment.
• The passing criteria for the final examination are 40% i.e., 20 marks in final exam and in examination both MCQs and practical question will be asked.
Module-II final examination:
Eligibility criteria for HCOC final examination
• Min 10 Marks in Section I
• Min 10 Marks in Section II
• Mini Project completion.
• 75 days’ completion in the course
• The passing criteria for the final examination are 40% i.e., 20 marks in final exam and in examination MCQs will be asked.
Important Instruction
• Eligible learners will get 3 attempts for final examination.
• Re-examination attempts will be given in consecutive months only.
• ALCs’ will schedule On Demand Examination after eligibility.
• Final examination schedule shall be conducted in 3rd week of every month, preferably 20th day of the month.
• Learner may appear for the HS-CITA final exam from his ALC.
• Learner examination will be conducted using web camera and internet and learner collages will be captured for exam invigilation and if any malpractice will appear then his examination may be cancelled.
Result & Certificate Process:
- After completion of the exam, if the learner passes then a soft copy of the provisional certificate will be available in the learner login.
- The final certificate (Hard Copy) will be available at the respective ALC within 45 days of the examination.
